Release date: 05.01.2003, Catalogue #MOS0002
Since releasing his SA No.1 indie-pop hit single ‘ all Into The Sun' at the end of 2002, singer, songwriter and performer Ike Moriz has created an exciting new, colorful E.P. (Maxi-Single).
It has already been played worldwide and reached No.5 in the NL Top10 (Halo Radio) and stayed at No.1 for four weeks in the UK Top10 (Matchbox Radio 24)! It was recently (18.3.03) voted ‘Song Of The Week' by David Bowie at davidbowie.com!
The fresh and bright title song ‘You Could (thrill me, kiss me, kill me, …) ' is followed by the heavy and grave indie anthem ‘ isionary' and the romantic Britpop tribute 'Drowning (in London Town)' recorded at Tin Pan Alley Studios and at Motion Studios, London, UK.
Involving his new relations from working with George Michael and Toby Bourke producer Steve Kent on Ike's last single, the same musicians accompanied Ike on this melodious journey (versatile: Jim Barnes (electric guitar) and Alan van Kleef (drums, percussion & mix).
As enigmatic and hooky as ever, the three songs on this CD are theatrical pop tales displaying the multicolored image of Ike's musical vision.
Based in London since 1999, Ike is of South African/German origin. His new style has emerged from his diverse musical experiences, fronting bands in London, Cape Town, Rotterdam and Hamburg, performing his own material.
